Greetings from city of the TAJ,

On behalf of the Organizing committee, it gives me immense pleasure to invite you to “XVII Annual Conference of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine- UP & UK Chapter”, being organized by the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, S. N. Medical College, Agra, UP on November 7th& 8th, 2014. The conference will be preceded by CME on November 6th, 2014.

The conference will offer a great opportunity to discuss important public health issues, exchange knowledge, share ideas, meet the eminent faculties, scholars and public health specialists of national and international repute on a common platform. We expect several vigorous initiatives and robust solutions that will follow the conference, leading to effective action that would be of great benefit to the people.

The theme for the conference is “Newborn Survival: Challenges and Strategies”. The conference will also emphasize on maternal & child health, vector borne diseases, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases and other relevant public health concerns.

For promoting operational research in the field of neonatal survival, a maximum of three best proposals, each from faculty members and residents, will be granted financial assistance upto Rs. 1,00,000/- by UNICEF.
