In an event of any man-made or natural disaster, the safety and well-being of the general public and infrastructure is at risk. In view of the havoc that lately occurred in the state due to the flash floods and cloud burst resulting in loss of hundreds of human lives and invaluable property, the department of Community Medicine, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, HIHT University, Dehradun is organizing a workshop for functionaries across the health system of the state on “Disaster Preparedness and Post Disaster Management” (with special emphasis on health & disease) on 3rd August, 2013 (Saturday).
The aim of this workshop is to impart information and generate awareness for disaster preparedness to minimize the effects of future disasters through mitigation, planning, training and response efforts.
We sincerely hope that you will participate actively in this workshop and look forward to see you in serene and tranquil environment of Devbhoomi of India on 3rd August 2013.
